New external plant room with air-source heat pumps using a liquid-injection refrigerant circuit to deliver a consistent 68°C flow, even at −20°C ambient ideal for retrofit upgrades.
We installed a purpose-built external plant room and high-efficiency ASHPs designed for reliable, high-temperature output. The liquid-injection circuit maintains 68°C flow at external temperatures down to −20°C, making it a strong fit where existing emitters and services need higher temperatures.
A bespoke enclosure was added to enhance appearance and reduce noise emissions, minimising disruption for pupils, staff and neighbours while improving the campus streetscape.
- Technologies: ASHPs with liquid-injection refrigerant circuit; acoustic/architectural enclosure
- Scope: New external plant room, distribution & controls, enclosure integration and noise attenuation
- Outcome: Retrofit-ready efficiency, 68°C at −20°C, lower noise & improved visual impact
