Staged, live-site boiler-house refurbishment: new boiler plant installed alongside the existing to maintain continuous heating & hot water, avoiding temporary hire plant and enabling a clean changeover.
The ITT envisaged swapping out the existing boilers via temporary hired gas plant to keep the school running. We proposed a parallel installation strategy instead: keep the existing boiler plant in place and operational while the new equipment is installed and commissioned.
Once the new boilers were proven, we transferred heat and hot-water production to the new plant and then decommissioned the legacy equipment delivering the upgrade without disrupting school life.
